I love to use my art for education – having created many works for Sheffield Festival of the Mind : a bi-anual exhibition where artists collaborate with researchers from Sheffield University to explain their research in an engaging way, including two games explaining bone cancer.
I’ve always found insects fascinating and sympathetic, and I have lots of ideas for bringing facial expression and body language to them without changing their form too much: eyes will do a lot, with antennae taking the role of eyebrows.
I’ve also included a link to a page of illustrations and character designs old and new – you should be able to see how I adopt many styles. I’m also a talented 3D artist and animator using Blender since 2007, with a talent for 3D and 2D rigs. Insects will all need custom rigs – especially if they are as flexible and expressive! See
